Derek and the team will be competing at Franklin County Speedway this week in the D&R Market 350.  From the front page of their web site is the following info:

"A huge season finale for the Pro-Line Trailer Sales Late Model Stock Cars will headline the October 6th race night at Franklin County Speedway in Callaway, VA.

Many LMSC cars and stars from the region are expected to compete in the 150-lap feature that pays $3,000 to the winner. 2007 LMSC winners Chad Harris, Jason Mitcham, Jimmy Mullins, Kelly Kingery, Buster Carroll, Nathan Wheat and others are expected to make this the most competitive field of Late Model Stock Cars to race at Franklin County Speedway in 2007. Other familiar LMSC names such as Rodney Cook, Jamie Byrd, Greg Shepherd, Rodney Sawyers and others have expressed interest in coming to race at FCS this weekend.

The Performance Pro Challenge Series will also be a highlight of the evenings action. This will be the second stop in their four race playoff to determine their national champion. All other regular divisions will also compete on Saturday night.

A special open practice session for all divisions will be held on Friday October 5th from 2pm until dark. Teams will be able to leave their haulers in the infield if they want when practice ends on Friday night."

 Note that they didn't mention Derek, even though he lapped all but four cars on the track the last time he was there, and left with the checkered flag to boot.  But that's OK.  Let's wish Derek a big victory as we close out the year and head for next season!
